All-on-X Implants in Reston, VA

“All-on-X” dental implants replace all your teeth in an arch at one time. The process only requires 4-6 implants per jaw, hence why they’re frequently referred to as “All-on-4” or “All-on-6” treatments.

Finally, a Better Solution for Missing Teeth

The integrity of dental implants makes it possible to anchor multi-tooth restorations on fewer implants than missing teeth. This option provides our patients with a more cost-effective and comfortable solution for smile rejuvenation. When cared for properly, your dental implants can last for the rest of your life. They’re one of the best investments you can make if you have missing teeth, regardless of how many there are.

What Do “All On” Implants Look Like?

This hybrid, fixed restoration is similar to a dental bridge that spans the width of your entire upper or lower jaw. For a completely new smile, you can choose the color, shape, and size of each tooth on your “all-on” restoration. Acrylic or pink porcelain can be sculpted to resemble healthy gum tissues that frame each of your new teeth.

Unlike bulky dentures, an All-on-X implant treatment only spans the curve of your jaw; there’s no bulky plate in the roof of your mouth.

Your streamlined all-on implant system will feel more comfortable and look more natural than any other type of full arch tooth replacement restoration. The personalized design will help you feel confident about smiling around other people and enjoying all of the foods you love (no dietary restrictions here!)

Do I Qualify for All-On Implants?

Most people with healthy gums and stable bone structures are suitable candidates for implant-retained appliances like All-on-X implants. Implants are dependent on healthy tissues for support. As such, it is important to treat active gum disease before placing an implant.

Since our goal is to preserve your natural teeth, we don't usually perform additional tooth extractions unless completely necessary. It is typically better to leave healthy teeth alone than have them removed and replaced with an implant. Our Reston dentist may recommend a different type of implant procedure if you still have healthy teeth that you’re able to retain.

What to Expect: Your Implant Consultation

You will meet with our doctors for a comprehensive dental implant exam. During this exam, we will discuss the following:

Digital Imaging and Exam

We’ll capture a 3D digital cone beam image of your oral anatomy to evaluate your bone density, shape, and ideal location of each implant. Dr. L will then evaluate your oral tissues and review your medical history to ensure you’re an ideal candidate for All-on-X implants.
