This hybrid, fixed restoration is similar to a dental bridge that spans the width of your entire upper or lower jaw. For a completely new smile, you can choose the color, shape, and size of each tooth on your “all-on” restoration. Acrylic or pink porcelain can be sculpted to resemble healthy gum tissues that frame each of your new teeth.
Unlike bulky dentures, an All-on-X implant treatment only spans the curve of your jaw; there’s no bulky plate in the roof of your mouth.

Most people with healthy gums and stable bone structures are suitable candidates for implant-retained appliances like All-on-X implants. Implants are dependent on healthy tissues for support. As such, it is important to treat active gum disease before placing an implant.
Since our goal is to preserve your natural teeth, we don't usually perform additional tooth extractions unless completely necessary. It is typically better to leave healthy teeth alone than have them removed and replaced with an implant. Our Reston dentist may recommend a different type of implant procedure if you still have healthy teeth that you’re able to retain.

We’ll capture a 3D digital cone beam image of your oral anatomy to evaluate your bone density, shape, and ideal location of each implant. Dr. L will then evaluate your oral tissues and review your medical history to ensure you’re an ideal candidate for All-on-X implants.
Our Reston dentist will recommend as few as four or six implants to anchor a full arch hybrid appliance by strategically placing each implant in specific areas of your mouth.
