Our bilingual staff (English and Thai) will ensure you are comfortable and take any necessary images for your exam. Then Dr. L will visit you and discuss your concerns, as well as perform an extensive evaluation that includes an oral cancer screening. View Dental Membership PlansTo aid in your examination, Dr. L uses digital X-rays to assess areas of your mouth that aren’t visible during a clinical exam. These digital images are safe for all ages and emit very low levels of radiation. Dr. L will share your images during the exam to communicate any concerns or findings.
X-rays are necessary to identify issues between and around teeth that cannot be seen visually. Abscesses, bone damage, and decay are all common examples. These baseline images can also be used to track oral changes over time.
Most new patients will need a full-mouth series of X-rays taken at their new appointment.
Anyone experiencing pain or discomfort deserves immediate relief. If you have a particular concern, Dr. L will work with you to make sure that any painful teeth are tended to as quickly as possible. We frequently see same-day emergencies. From there, we’ll work with you to develop a care plan for your long-term oral health. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have about elective services such as smile makeovers.
